TEAM HIGHLIGHTS VIDEOS We
videotape and edit together highlights videos for teams of all ages, ability
levels and sports from T-ball to World Cup. Depending on your needs, we
can videotape from one game to an entire season. We can videotape practices
and interview players, coaches and parents. You can also provide still
photos you have already taken of your team and they will be included in
the video. They can be anything from baby photos to championship moments.
A highlights video is a terrific way to remember a team’s season
and overall accomplishments.
The cost is dependant upon the sport that is being videotaped, the specifics of the content you would like to include, the number of games and practices that are videotaped, the amount of still photos you provide and the length of the final edited video.
If you would like Psyched About Sports to make additional copies for you, they are $7 each. Note: If videotaping takes place more than a 45 minute
drive from the Rye Brook, New York area, then travel costs may be additional.

sports television shows that have aired nationally. Your production company
can count on Psyched About Sports to edit the sports footage you videotape
into a really good television show.
In 2003, Psyched About Sports also produced from concept to completion a one hour television show "Volleyball Country" that features the U.S. National Womens™ Volleyball Team, the U.S. Men™ Sitting Paralympic Team and the Mother Lode Volleyball Classic. In 2005, Psyched About Sports produced a half hour television show for the EVP (Extreme Volleyball Professionals) Tour. In 2006, we produced four half hour shows for the EVP Tour that were videotaped in locations across the country and in 2007, seven more shows were made. Each show was broadcast into 35 million households. We specialize in shows that are videotaped with ENG cameras and put together in post production.
COLLEGE RECRUITING VIDEOSOften, college coaches request high school athletes to send them recruiting videos. If you are pursuing an athletic scholarship, Psyched About Sports will put together a professional video for you to send to college coaches that highlights your skills. You can provide footage you have videotaped and/or Psyched About Sports can videotape the athlete in action.
Each option includes two copies of the finished video (2 DVD-R, 2 VHS or 1 DVD-R and 1 VHS). The cases include a nice cover that contains photographs of the athlete along with contact information and a list of athletic accomplishments. The source tapes are yours to keep, as well, if you request them. If you would like Psyched About Sports to make additional copies for you, they are $7 a piece. Note: If videotaping takes place more than a 45 minute drive from the Rye Brook, New York area, then travel costs may be additional. -One third of the price is due upon completion of the first videotaping
session. The balance is due after you have approved the final edit. OPTION 1 - $60/hour to edit(reduced from $85/hour regular rate)-You provide all of the video footage of the athlete and we’ll
edit your video
PAS will edit the footage you provide. We can watch the games and choose the best highlights to include or you can do so ahead of time in order to save money. Once the footage has been loaded into the editing system, the amount of time it takes to edit the video depends mainly upon the length you would like the final video to be. Most, but not all, 5-15 minute videos can be edited in 10 hours or less. Also, many coaches like to see the athlete in action with footage that is unedited. However, sometimes they have difficulty distinguishing you from the numerous other players on the field, especially when the game has been videotaped in a wide shot. If you would like to include a full or half game (the length depends upon the sport) in which the featured athlete is highlighted by an arrow each time he or she is seen, or is highlighted at the beginning of each point, it usually takes an additional 3 hours of editing time. To summarize, here is a breakdown of cost for a sample video in which you have provided a detailed shot list of the shots you would like to include. Loading Footage into the editing system 1 hour - $ 60 Total cost (which includes 2 copies) - $720 Hints for Identifying Selected Shots For footage you provide, the specific video highlights you would like to include should be clearly identified and their exact locations on the tapes stated, either by time code numbers if the tapes were videotaped professionally or by setting your counter to 0 min. 0 sec. at the beginning of each tape. Here is an example of how to identify the shots you would like to include:
By making a shot list in this manner, it will save the editor time because he or she is then able to fast forward to the shots that are to be used and not have to watch all of the footage you send. This can save hours of time which therefore keeps the cost lower for you. For example, if you provide 5 hours of videotape with 15 minutes of selects clearly noted, it will take approximately an hour for the editor to get everything loaded into the computer editing system. However, if the editor has to watch 5 hours of footage and decide which highlights are the best, then it will take at least 5 hours to watch the tapes and then another hour to load them into the computer. If your camera or vcr does not have a counter, then if possible, it is helpful for you to fast forward through the tapes with the editor in the editing room in order to make the selections. This method will save some time and money, as well. OPTION 2 - $1,000Note: If you would also like to include an unedited full or half game (depends upon the sport) that has the athlete highlighted by an arrow each time he or she is seen, it usually takes an additional 3 hours of editing time, which is $180 extra- Note: New York state residents add 8.125% sales tax -Videotape one game. If desired, videotape pre or post game
interviews with the athlete and/or coach, as well. -Videotape one practice (can be substituted with a second game) -Edit a 5-15 minute video of the athlete Additional games are $300 to videotape. If you watch the game dvds and note the highlights to include, then there is no additional charge for editing. If we watch the games and choose the highlights, then there is an additional cost of $30 per game for editing.
